History of suicide monitoring by the psychiatric service of the Ministry of Health of the Chuvash Republic

The article shows the experience of the psychiatric service of the Chuvash Republic in the development and application of suicidal behavior monitoring. The use of monitoring results made it possible to reduce the rate of completed suicides from 42.1 per 100 thousand people in 1994 to 5.5 per 100 thousand people in 2023.
