Experience of the scientific description of medical treatises from the Tibetan collection of the center of oriental manuscripts and xylographs (IMBTS SB RAS)

This article presents a classification system approach to the medical treatises from the Tibetan fund of the Centre of Oriental manuscripts and xylographs, which was formed mainly from private, personal collections of the Buryat lamas of the past. There are 508 manuscripts and xylographs in the collection. To ensure access of the reader, including the use of Internet technologies, an annotated catalog has been compiled. It contains 20 parameters describing a unit of storage, including information about the authorship, dating, and the structure of the sources. Despite the fact that the collection is relatively small, it corresponds to the teaching process literature in the tradition, and it presents all the necessary texts on Tibetan medicine.
