Experience in the use of sliding formwork system in the construction of bridge structures

Currently, new advanced technologies are being actively introduced at transport infrastructure facilities. In combination with the use of modern building materials and systems, this gives a wide opportunity to intensify the production process, accelerate the pace of construction of facilities and reduce labor costs, while applying new modern design solutions. This is especially important in places with rough terrain, where, on the one hand, it is important to ensure the required conditions and pace of construction of the facility, and on the other hand, to build proper logistics routes that ensure uninterrupted and timely supply of consumables and equipment directly to the construction site. Among the latest industrial developments that have found application in transport infrastructure, it is possible to single out a sliding shuttering system, the use of which directly on bridge structures has not had a mass character until recently, and at other objects of industrial and civil construction, the volume of its application compared to the classical shuttering system is not so large. In 2021, during the construction of a bypass of the city of Togliatti with a bridge crossing over the Volga River as part of the international transport route "Europe - Western China" in the Samara region, a sliding formwork system was used for the first time in transport construction, which allowed speeding up the pace of construction of the facility, reducing the construction time and ensuring proper quality of work. This article presents the main prerequisites and the procedure for the use of sliding formwork at the construction site, the features of the technology of construction of structures in it and the difficulties that builders may face with its mass use in the transport industry, as well as other related information. The article will be useful to engineering and technical workers employed in the real sector of the economy, and to anyone who is interested in the experience of applying modern construction systems and technologies in practice.
