The article is devoted to the study of the experience of development and realization of excursion programs for children at the S. N. Durylin Memorial House-Museum. The article shows the specific features of the excursions for children that must be taken into account in methodological developments. The methodological bases of the excursion programs for children allow us to understand the essence and the changes of scientific knowledge at the present stage of development of science.
