EXPERIENCE IN DESIGN OF INSTRUMENTATION FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON ENERGY ECOLOGY AND HORTICULTURE

A real way to replenish the research base can be the production of specific measuring and analysis instruments in the design and production departments of scientific organizations. To review the measuring instruments and laboratory equipment developed in the laboratory of energy ecology and light culture. The work was carried out on the basis of a bibliographic analysis of publications on the problems of domestic scientific instrument making. The reasons for the industry's lag are noted. It has been hypothesized that under these conditions, creating your own laboratory instruments is a real alternative to centralized supply. The essence of the technology of "free and open-source hardware" (FOSH), developed directly by researchers, is revealed. The advantages and disadvantages of FOSH technology are highlighted. A number of laboratory developments in the field of instrumentation for scientific research are considered: a device for environmental monitoring of stress states of plants; leaf goniophotometer; device for morpho-colorimetry of plant leaves; full-scale model of a plant in hortyculture; device for measuring phyllotaxis parameters; color meter; a device for determining the fluctuating asymmetry of the optical characteristics of plant leaves; leaf photocolorimeter; device for determining the energy intensity of photosynthesis; quality analyzer for the spectrum of optical radiation flux in hortyculture. It was noted that the considered devices are the basis of the scientific activity of the laboratory and, counting scientific activity since 2011, have allowed us to publish 140 articles in scientific journals, more than 70 scientific papers in collections, and obtain 33 patents for inventions. The results of practical developments were awarded 10 gold medals at the VDNH and AgroRus exhibitions. The level of developments in the field of instrument engineering at the Laboratory of Energy Ecology and hortyculture is quite high. The laboratory team has a serious background in the field of scientific instrument making.
