Organic matter of lower Permian terrigenous deposits of northern Pre-Ural foredeep and Urals

The organic matter of Lower Permian terrigenous deposits was studied by the methods of organic geochemistry and coal petrography. The initial organic matter of the rocks is mainly mixed. Despite the initial formation of predominantly sapropelic matrix, a considerable humic component and frequent change of sedimentation conditions supported the formation of poor and medium oil and gas source rocks in general.
