Maintenance of analytical work in the public security department of the Urals region (1924-1934)

The article investigates formation and development of analytical work of Militia and Criminal Investigation Department of the Urals region. It examines specific character of registration, data handling and analysis of public security operational management in 1920 - the beginning of 1930s, and the way social, economical and political changes in the country as well as structural changes in the system of public security of the Urals region exerted influence on the analytical work of Militia and Criminal Investigation Departments.
