Organization and legal status of ombudsmen in foreign countries: the example of Sweden, Germany and England

This article examines the features of the ombudsman institution. The activities of this institute in different countries are detailed. The activities and functions of the ombudsman institution are highlighted. The general and specific features of this institution have been identified. The importance of the ombudsman and the mechanism of his activity in the systems of modern democratic countries are considered.
