Organization of mass sport events in the USSR at the example of Ulyanovsk region in the 1941-1980s

This article is devoted to the organization of sports competitions in the Ulyanovsk region in 1941-1980s. The relevance of the problem is determined by the need to study the experience of Soviet specialists in this field, which will be used in developing recommendations for the organization of physical activities. The author carried out an analysis of the organization of physical culture activities on the territory of the USSR at the example of Ulyanovsk region. She is concentrated on the circumstances of the athletics relay for the prize of the periodical «Ulyanovskaya Pravda», which was a key sporting event in the region and had its own traditional features.
