Organization of prosecutor's oversight of the implementation of legislation on elections

Introduction: the article provides an overview of the organization of prosecutorial supervision in the sphere of enforcement of electoral legislation, as a result the significance of the prosecution bodies in the sphere of electoral law is revealed. The main tasks and list of organizational measures carried out by officials of the prosecutor ’s office in carrying out supervisory activities have been defined. With regard to the main stages of the electoral process, the main issues that need to be verified as part of the supervision over the execution of electoral rights of the citizens have been identified. The main types of violations committed during the organization and holding the elections at various levels of government are listed. Materials and methods: the regulatory framework of the research is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as normative acts regulating the organization and holding the elections in the Russian Federation.
