The article researches organizational sociocultural meaning of the Orthodox temples during the period of Siberia’s development. The author analyzes semantic axiological aspect of the most common types of wooden temples. Klet, steepled, gateway churches of the 17 th century evidenced spiritual spatial organization of the Siberian Orthodox culture. The temples were becoming not only stronghold of the Orthodoxy, but also they were the marks of the Russian national consciousness.
