The article discusses the organizational and economic aspects of the strategy of using tourist resources. It is established that the strategy of using tourist resources can be represented as a model consisting of strategically significant programs and projects, within which there are such elements as operations and actions. It is proved that the program-target approach in relation to tourist resources consists in the implementation of a development strategy, which is an important part of strategic management. It was found out that the purpose of forming a strategy for the use of tourist resources is to increase the level of tourism development with optimal use of resource potential, which implies unconditional fulfillment of the conditions of stability in the development process. It is determined that the formation of a strategy for the use of tourist resources is expected to increase the level of use of tourist resources at the regional level, ensuring regional economic development, the transition of the region to a higher level of development with a high quality of life of the population. It was found out that the mechanism of public-private partnership is recognized as an effective and promising tool for economic and social development at the regional and local levels, is a means of attracting funds to projects where state and local authorities are trying to maintain control and establish cooperation with investors.
