Organizational and economic directions for improvement of informatization management efficiency in the region

This article analyzes the problem areas of informatization development process in Russia in general and in Samara region in particular. The author describes the main barriers hindering the transition to the information society. The most important problem in execution of the program of information development of the Samara region is the lack of an effective management system. The article describes and justifies the specific areas for improvement of the informatization management efficiency in the region.
