Organizational aspects of elimination medical sanitary and ecological consequences of railway failures and accidents

In Russia the railway transport providing the majority of passenger and cargo transportation (including dangerous cargoes), belongs to branches of national economy with the increased risk of emergencies and accidents. The analysis of the largest train crashes which were taking place in Russia since 1992 is carried out. It is noted that emergencies with dangerous and extremely dangerous cargoes can lead to defeat of people and animals, dangerous ecological consequences. Classification of accidents by nature of incident and depending on number of victims is presented, their main reasons are specified. The characteristic and structure of sanitary losses arising at accidents on railway transport is given. The conditions necessary for timely rendering by the wounded of emergency medical care are defined; the factors complicating carrying out medical and evacuation actions at elimination of medical sanitary and ecological consequences of such incidents are given. Ways of the organizational decisions increasing efficiency of actions for elimination of medical sanitary and ecological consequences of train crashes are specified.
