Organizational resources and methods of gaining the support of electorate in Russia

In the process of the establishment of the institution of democratic elections in Russian society, deviations from the basic principles of representative democracy and violation of legislative norms have been repeatedly observed. Electoral legislation was amended and supplemented, inaccuracies and ambiguous wordings were eliminated, however, despite this, the practice of elections in modern Russia did not become truly democratic. The use of various manipulation techniques that violate the basic principles of the elections was carried out at all stages of the election campaign. Separate techniques contradict not only the normative ideas about democratic elections, but also the Russian electoral legislation.
