The organizational mechanism for improving state financial control in the region's economic security system

State financial control is considered as an element of the region’s economic security system. Its role is to counteract the risks and threats to economic security, the sources of which are the activities of participants in the budget process. However, reports from control bodies, criminal cases brought by law enforcement agencies, and publications in the media indicate that budgetary resources are spent inefficiently at all levels of government, including the regional level. In itself, inefficient spending of budgetary resources poses a threat to economic security, and is also a condition for the spread of corruption and criminalization of public relations in the region. The hypothesis of the study is that improving the organizational mechanism of state financial control is able to strengthen opposition to the inefficient use of budgetary resources and have a positive impact on the level of economic security of the region.
