Ornithonyms with syntactically related lexical meaning

The article analyzes the birds' names which have not only direct, syntactically related lexical meaning but also image associative motivation. The author provides an overview of such ornithonyms, considers specific cases of their performance in native speakers' everyday language through various parts of speech formed from these ornithonimic nominations, and determines the sphere of their use.
