The given article considers the contribution of Izhevsk weapon and steelproducing factories to the provision of the Russian army with the necessary arms and ammunition in the years of the First World War. It shows the role of Izhevsk factories in providing Russian weapon factories with the parts of barrels, receivers and qualitative metal. It is noticed that the increase in volumes of output of small arms at Izhevsk factories became possible due to the end of reconstruction of factories, to the acquisition of new machine tools, to the expansion of power supply sources.
