Complications of long-term period after surgical treatment of aorta coarctation

Presented are the data of the analysis of long term results of 2746 patients having been operated with the coarctation of the aorta. The authors have at their disposal one of the greatest number of patients being examined whose correction of heart disease have been done by the method of indirect istmoplastic with the help of a synthetic patch. It has also been observed a high percent of development of aortal aneurysms in the long term period of treatment (4.09%). Investigated also are the complications of other methods of correction.
