Main biometric parameters of raspberry plants as a component of high productivity of the grade

The aim of the research was to identify genotypes of red raspberry combining high level of ecological adaptability of plants and stably high productivity. The research was carried out in 2016-2017 on the varietal fund of raspberry red, under field conditions on the plants of All Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding. The objects of research were 22 varieties of raspberries, of various genetic origin. The place of observation was the collection site of the raspberry red of All Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding planting plantation in the spring of 2013. The scheme of plant location was 4x0.5 m. The climate of the research area is moderate continental. The agrotechnical care was common for industrial plantations of raspberry red under the conditions of Central Black Earth Region. Depending on the shoot-forming ability in 2016-2017, groupings of varieties were carried out according to basic biometric indicators. The shoots of medium height are typical for the varieties of Brigantine, Balzam, Lazarevskaya, Follgold, Peresvet, Marjanushka, Odarka, Meteor, Zhuravlik, Espe, Illusion, Indian Summer, Volnitsa (138-155 cm), the internodes in this group of varieties is within 3.5-4.3 cm - are referred to us as compact. All the other varieties are referred to spreading plants with a height of 160-190 cm and the length of the internodes in this group of varieties is 3.8-5.5 cm (Kuzimin's News, Early Dawn, Jnna, Sputnitsa, Skromnitsa, Zaryanka, Sokolenok, Arta). The most characteristic criterion of compactness is the low ratio of the length of the interstice to the diameter of the shoot. The group of hybrids of compact type includes varieties: Lazarevskaya, Indian summer, Volnitsa, Espe, Peresvet, Follgold, Illusion. The largest fruiting zone (55-85 cm) with the maximum number of laterals had varieties: Early dawn, Zaryanka, Illusion, Peresvet, Lazarevskaya, Maroseika, Jvars, Follgold having 28-43 laterals, with an average number of berries 18-30 pcs. This group of raspberry varieties has the greatest biological potential of the crop.
