History of formation and evolution Verkhneudinsk city police of Irkutsk province in XVIII - XIX centuries

The article discusses the history of the establishment and development of the city police Verkhneudinsk. On the basis of previously unpublished archival sources noted the main stages in the history of the police since the beginning of the XVIII century. One of the important steps in the formation of a regular police noted the time of appearance of the Board curfew in the city. In this context, characterized by the appearance of some of the features Verkhneudinsky commandant, the scope of its authority and functions to maintain decorum. The article also lit up the process of creating a Verkhneudinsk city police presence and the appearance of the mayor -as a new stage of development of the city police.
