The main stages of the formation of the corporate sector in the Russian economy

The article considers the issue of the formation of the corporate sector of the Russian economy,which has passed three stages in its development. The first stage reflects the privatization processes that initiated the corporate sector and defined its structure. By the end of this stage, the ownership rights to the company's assets belong to the sole owner, who came either from the company's management or acted as an outsider. The second stage began in the mid 2000s and was associated with the creation of alliances of companies, which were vertically integrated structures in which ownership rights were already distributed among severalowners. The third stage, which is currently being observed, is characterized by an active process of property transformation, which was caused by the imposed sanctions and various restrictions, which led to the departureof business from the country.
