The main concepts of education in the domestic high school textbooks for foreign languages

In the article we have determined the criteria for analysis of domestic high school textbooks from the standpoint of implementation the basic concepts of teaching foreign languages. They include the purpose, topics, texts, tasks and exercises, academic progression, the interests and experience of students. The content of high school textbooks reflects the basic principles of development language teaching methods in various historical periods. In textbooks based on the method of grammar-translation great attention is paid to reading, understanding, translating texts and doing grammar exercises. As a result of active and communicative methods spread foreign languages practical acquisition have come to the fore, it was reflected in use of various communicative tasks, the system of conditional-speech and speech exercises.
