The article deals with the teaching methodology of Aviation English based on the essential principles of LSP training theory: functional-communicative approach and profession-oriented learning. To develop steady professional language competences a learner-centered approach is applied. Effective teaching of Aviation English considers the choice of suitable training methods, authentic materials and work forms aimed at mastering of skills in professional communication between aviation specialists.
