Main paradigms of cognitive warfare research

The article examines theoretical and applied approaches to the construction of concepts of cognitive warfare, which are grouped into four conditional paradigms: "utilitarian-military" (USA and Great Britain), "anti-expansionist" (Western Europe), "civilizational-ideological" (Russia) and "historical-patriotic" (Belarus). Their features and main directions of development are shown. It is concluded that the emergence of the phenomenon of cognitive warfare is closely related to the aggravation of the cultural and civilizational struggle between global centers of power and different visions of the value-ideological foundations of the national state and a just world order. The importance of understanding is emphasized.
