Main indicators and factors of development of tourism and recreation in the Republic of Adygea

The article interprets the contribution of tourism and recreation to the economy of the Republic of Adygea, identifies factors limiting the development of the regional hospitality industry, namely: high level of depreciation of tourism and recreational infrastructure facilities (especially in the mountainous part of the Republic); a relatively small number of guest accommodations that meet modern requirements for the level of comfort; lack of a recognizable regional tourism and recreation brand. In order to stimulate investors to invest in the modernization of the republican tourism and recreation infrastructure facilities, the authors substantiate such a measure as the development and adoption of a regional law on public-private partnership (PPP) in the field of tourism and recreation, within the framework of which it is necessary to fix the mechanism for the transfer of hospitality industry facilities, land, forest plots, water bodies in republican ownership to investors for the implementation of medium- and long-term projects. Practical implementation of the above proposal will create legal guarantees for investments in the development of regional tourism, which will increase the motivation to invest in this area. The results of the study can be used by government bodies of the constituent entities of the RF for the development of tourism and recreation at the regional level.
