Main principles of wire application for magnetic measurement of accelerators elements. Part 1. Based-on-wire magnetic measurement techniques and systems

Magnetic measurements of structural magnets are an integral part of accelerating complex’s creation. Increasing requirements for magnetic field parameters entails the need to create precision measurement systems. Wire magnetic measurement techniques have a set of advantages compared to other techniques. This paper provides an overview of known based-on-wire approaches to magnetic measurements and describes the principles of creating such measurement systems.
