The article deals the main problems of Verkhneudinsk municipal government activity in 1920-1923. Based on the materials of the State Archives of the Buryat Republic (SARB), concerning the studied period, we have make an attempt to re-create the most complete picture of the difficulties that complicated the work of municipal government apparatus.
