Based on the analysis of methodical approaches to the definition of "basic means of production in agriculture" given its author's understanding. The article analyzes the current situation in agriculture of Ukraine. Identified the main development trends that affect the dynamics of agriculture. Formulated the prospects of development of fixed assets in production agriculture.
