Main trends of anthropogenic impact on water resources of Rostov region

The article considers the indicators of anthropogenic impact on water resources of Rostov region, in particular emissions of all types of wastewater, the dynamics of gross regional product from 2020 to 2022 is presented. A comparative analysis of the growth rates of GRP of Rostov region and emissions of all types of wastewater, which amounted to 9.6% and 12.5%, respectively, indicates a decrease in the efficiency of using the water resource potential of the studied region, due to the fact that water consumption outpaces the growth of the economy of the considered subject of the RF. The authors substantiate organizational and economic measures to intensify the exploitation of regional water resource potential. The predicted effect consists in the formation of stable long-term economically attractive conditions for capital investment in the modernization of regional water management infrastructure, as well as technical and technological modernization of water treatment, which, in turn, contributes to the reduction of water resource losses and anthropogenic pressure.
