Main tendencies and problems of laboratory service organizing in regions

The author's views on the main trends and problems of the organization of the laboratory service are presented. The connection between scientific and technological progress and the organizational structure of the laboratory service is clearly traced. Attention is drawn to the increase in the need for laboratory analyzes, as an integral part of the therapeutic process of evidence-based medicine. The essential role of the laboratory service in healthcare modernization programs has been revealed. New organizational and legal forms of activity of clinical diagnostic laboratories are proposed.
