Main trends and ways of further development of digital technologies in higher education

Digital technologies have been used in Russian higher education for several decades (since the early 1990s). Over the past years, a certain amount of experience has been accumulated, and the initial stage of this process, when computers played the role of a keeper, demonstration and receipt of information, is already behind us, the next stage is associated, in particular, with the task of systematizing huge, ever-increasing volumes of educational and scientific information, interaction between teachers and students during classroom studies in online mode, etc. It is these aspects that are emphasized in the article, while the subject of the study is limited to the humanitarian profile of higher education institutions, given that the use of digital technologies in relation to the humanitarian, natural, engineering and technical specialties differs significantly. The ways of further development of electronic technologies in the university educational process are substantiated.
