Main trends in Russian foreign economic activity and factors of its intensification

The article establishes the main indicators of the foreign economic activity of the Russian Federation, in particular: exports, imports, calculated the balance for the period 2021-2023, and identifies indicators of the share of food products and agricultural raw materials in the structure of exports and imports of the Russian Federation. A stable trend associated with the structural transformation of Russian exports has been identified. There is a steady trend of increasing supplies of agricultural products and food products to the world market by economic agents of the Russian Federation. This trend indicates the effectiveness of government measures to stimulate the export of agricultural products of the Russian Federation, the growth of global demand for food and agricultural products, and the rational actions of Russian companies in the global market, expressed in the reorientation of commodity flows to the markets of friendly and/or neutral countries. The above circumstances actualize the task of intensifying interaction between the Russian Federation and friendly countries in terms of forming organizational and economic prerequisites for the implementation of joint investment projects in the field of agricultural commodity production, processing, and developing cooperation in penetrating the markets of third countries.
