The article examines trends in the development of logistics processes in the organization of sea voyages, which are logical, coherent and interrelated set of activities consuming resources of provider of sea voyages services, creating valorem products and presenting results to consumer (tourist). The author analyzes the ways to transfer the separate functions (parts) of the logistics business process to third parties and organizations. The article shows the purpose of logistic system of sea travel. It is aimed at meeting the needs of customers and can be described by the main parameters: customer, service, service quality, the volume of service, clearance and delivery time, delivery location and costs. Applying to a system of sea travel the nature of logistics channels, their struc- ture and management are considered. The tendency of new logistics distribu- tion systems of passenger transport services is revealed. The author has found that echelon channels differ in number of intermediate links (levels) from the provider to the client. This leads to the fact that more such units, the more difficult to coordinate the actions of participants to promote services to cus- tomers. Therefore it is suggested that echelon channels are suitable in cases where: a) flow consists of a large number of different services or service of different suppliers, which requires their unification and preselling prepara- tion; b) intermediaries better meet customer requirements; c) intermediaries reduce the cost of services realization to suppliers, and to customers - to buying comprehensive services. Relating to a system of sea travel the author also considers the nature of logistics channels, decisions about the structure of the channels and man- agement. It is noted that the participants in the channel perform certain func- tions to ensure effective distribution and continuity of services. For this pur- pose the participants of the distribution channels conclude among themselves contracts for the sale of services, provide funding to cover the costs, allocate responsibilities and risks for the functioning of the channel.
