The article discusses the basic terms and concepts of the phenomena of explosions of fuel-air mixtures and their physico-chemical properties and classification characteristics. The statistical data of these incidents in Russia over the last 20 years. The conclusion about the importance of physico-chemical thermodynamic phenomena as the structural element of criminalistic characteristics of crimes related to criminal explosions and explosions of household gas.
