At this moment the exchange of primary accounting documents is realized by EDI and EDO. Now more and more organizations are switching to these types circulation of documents. In the moment world the questions of data security are very important in the financial and economic activities of economic entities and individual businessmen. Security issues of data transmitted with the helped EDI are solved by soft ware directly in EDI. Systems by using cryptographic methods. This article is devoted to the problem of electronic circulation of documents. The article describes the characteristics of the automation process itself, including the definition of the main terms. The formats that ESI uses are described. The processes of transferring primary accounting documents the EDI and EDO systems are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of these systems are given as well as the users of electronic circulation of documents.
