The article pays attention to the concept of value in relation to personality qualities, semantic nature and regulation of activity, value-semantic guidelines of students, including cadets of a military university, in physics classes. Examples of tasks of patriotic and professional content, calculation and graphic works, placards are considered as methods of forming value and semantic landmarks for cadets of a military university in physics, contributing to the awareness of students of the need to study educational materials in physics, their application in future professional activities, the development of a sense of pride and patriotism for their country.
