Fundamentals of risk management in railway infrastructure

This article examines the basics of risk management in railway infrastructure. Improvement of the railway infrastructure effectiveness using various risk management techniques is elucidated. Attention is focused on the fact that the comparative characteristics of risk management are of great importance for the effectiveness of risk management in the railway infrastructure. It is concluded that the assessment of risk management effectiveness in the railway infrastructure can be carried out using modeling (risk matrix), graphs and calculation methods.
