Peculiarities of alternative individuals investment

This paper defines the essence and concept of alternative investment, its main types and instruments. The advantages and disadvantages of alternative individuals investments over traditional investment instruments are also considered. Factors that force investors to go beyond classical forms of investment have been identified and determinated. The article proposed recommendations for the development and diversification of alternative investments. It is proposed to consider the activities of crowdfunding platforms as the most developed form of existence of alternative investments at the current stage.
