The authors studied the possibility of application high-carbon alloy steel 80KhFYu for manufacturing high-strength large diameter reinforcement. A criterion is offered for assessment of the stressed state uniformity of the work piece deformation zone during drawing. On the basis of the study of stressed state uniformity for various drawing sequences, the drawing sequence with decreasing reduction was chosen for manufacturing a high quality product.
