This article discusses benefits and challenges of the distance learning of a foreign language. In the context of efficiency the author analyzes the stages of teaching: motivation, goal-setting, planning and implementation of activities, performance analysis and reflection. Particular attention is paid to the game technologies in the group work and self-evaluation of acquired knowledge by students.
