Patients with adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the lung were examined to study the phenotypic composition of blood lymphocytes and lymph nodes of the root of the lung. Population and subpopulation composition of lymphocytes was assessed by indirect immunofluorescence method. Some similar changes in blood population and subpopulation composition of lymphocytes were revealed for patients with adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the lung. The concentration of Tlymphocytes and T-helpers/inductors was decreased with higher concentration of B-lymphocytes in both groups. The level of NK-cells in peripheral blood was elevated only in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the lung. The level of T-lymphocytes and T helpers/inductor in lymph nodes of the root of the lung was relatively higher in patients with adenocarcinoma than in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the lung.
