The article discusses the main aspects of financing projects in the housing and communal sphere, especially relevant when organizing the modernization of infrastructure facilities: repairs and reconstruction of water supply and sanitation networks. The authors focus on investments in innovative projects and the possible effects of the introduction of innovative technologies in the implementation of trenchless pipeline laying. In modern conditions, various ways of financing innovative projects are of particular interest. Public-private partnership in this area should be aimed at expanding the possibility of attracting private investment for the modernization and expansion of housing and communal services infrastructure, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of life of the population. To achieve the purpose of the study, the main problems of implementing innovative projects in the market of water supply and sanitation services were considered. An overview of housing and communal services financing is given, as well as brief information on federal and regional financing with the involvement of private investors. The analysis of the device and the principle of operation of existing methods of pipeline sanitation is carried out. The authors give a generalized description of the costs of using trenchless methods of pipeline reconstruction, and also consider the advantages of their use. In the course of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that the use of trenchless methods of laying and reconstruction of water supply and sanitation networks will get rid of significant problems in the housing and communal services.
