Features of the formation of ancient religious beliefs

The article discusses the peculiarities of the formation of ancient religious beliefs. I. N. Yablokov applies different approaches to explain the word "religion". He identified the aspects that reveal this term. We have analyzed the teachings of such philosophers as Marx and Engels, D. Hume, Feuerbach, I.N. Yablokov, their various interpretations of the concept of "religion". In our view, the worship of heaven in China has an ancient history. The Chinese took a pragmatic approach to the development of agriculture. A characteristic feature of prudence among the Chinese was revealed in the worship of supernatural forces. In the article we have described the archaeological finds of the Yangshao, Dalengou and Liangzhu cultures in Dahe and Miaodigou, which proves the representations of the ancient Chinese worldview about deities. The progress in agriculture in ancient China was a result of the appeal to astronomy and meteorology. The article also describes natural phenomena such as the Sun, Moon, stars, wind, rain, snow and others. The ancient Chinese did not philosophize about gods and deities, but carried out practical activities. We note that the Chinese people appreciate the benefit in their lives.
