The features of formation of the bark of the trunks of silver birch (Betula pendula Roth.) in the forest-steppe zone of the Middle Siberia

The results of studies reflecting the patterns of bark formation in birch trunks in Middle Siberia are presented. The average values of the double thickness of the cortex are determined, as well as the features of its formation at various sections of the trunk. A linear equation of the relationship between the double thickness of the crust at an altitude of 1.3 m and the diameter of the trunk in the cortex is proposed.
