Formation of the light field in the shape of curves on the base of spiral type beam optics: details

Two methods based on the phase elements use and aimed to form the beams with a predetermined intensity distribution have been compared by numeric simulations and experiments. The basic feature of the methods is the optics of spiral type beams. The experiments are performed with the aid of reflective spatial liquid crystal modulator. It has been found that for the light fields formed with the phase elements obtained via the iteration algorithm, their heterogeneity is by several times higher (from 1,6 to 4,8) as compared to the light fields formed by the elements ensuring the phase distribution of the spiral beam without iterations. And correspondingly, the energetic efficiency after the iteration procedure is approximately by 1,2 - 2,3 times higher.
