The article discusses the problem of cyclicity and functioning of information processes in the modern society structure. The authors consider the feedback channels as elements of the recurrence of information society phenomena. The hierarchical entities are interpreted as: a) primary level: a message, a signal (technical information); b) secondary level: a sign, a symbol (communicative information); c) knowledge (training information). The paper notes that the signal describes the quantitative aspect of information, the sign describes the quality of information, and the knowledge describes the interaction of quantitative and qualitative aspects of the information.
