Features of logistics centers activities in the Russian trade policy

The tool for the implementation of foreign trade relations of any state is the transport routes used in the movement of goods across the customs border. The more available modes of transport and routes for cargo movement, the more serious is the issue of calculating the optimal route for export / import. In addition to transport, the organization of transshipment, packaging, storage and clearance of goods matters. This determines the importance of logistics as the art of moving the flow of goods, products, resources and providing a wide range of related intermediary services. The logistics center is a company that concentrates the possibilities of customs clearance, escorting cargo along the route, coordinating not only transportation, but also the stage of warehousing, processing and other client requests. The main purpose of the logistics policy at the micro level is the delivery of goods to a certain place and time with minimal effort, money and taking into account the client’s request. And for this, it is important to have distribution channels. They are formed by the state through trade, transport, investment and other types of policies. The main problem in the development of foreign trade relations is the uneven location of logistics centers, insufficient capacity in certain developing areas of exports and imports, the depreciation of the transport fleet, the lack of an agreed policy for the development of transport routes, means of moving goods and integrated logistics services.
