Functioning of resource centers of the non-profit organizations in Russia

Self-organization of citizens in solving social problems and organization of leisure time is one of the trends that are clearly observed in the development of civil society in Russia. There are 225,609 registered non-profit organizations (NCO) in Russia. Many non-registered associations of citizens are also operating in the state. Most of them require different forms of support. NCO’s resource centers are one of the institutions for supporting non-governmental organizations. This article analyzes the activities of NCO`s resource centers in Russia. The author analyzes ten resource centers due to such indicators as activities, services, and other areas of activities. Resource centers are an important mechanism for the organization of cooperation in the nonprofit sector. Through their activity the stability and effectiveness of other associations increase.
