Features of the state policy in the field of export regulation of food exports

Ensuring food security and implementing import substitution policy measures in Russia is an urgent topic for discussion in the scientific community. After the introduction of the food embargo, the situation with the development of agricultural production, fishing and the food processing industry began to change for the better, as the state began to pay more attention to such areas as investing in the agro-industrial complex, supporting producers and processors of agricultural raw materials and seafood. Such measures stimulated the development of the export potential of agricultural production, so in the period 2015-2020, the export of key types of food products increased by all types. The greatest progress in terms of export growth was shown by the direction of meat and meat food sub-products, whose exports increased by 7.4 times. Export markets for this type of product are located in China, the Middle East, Near Asia, Belarus and Ukraine. It was important to analyze the changes in the export of fish, crustaceans and shellfish, as with the introduction of the food embargo, fundamental changes began in this direction. Exports of fish, crustaceans and shellfish have not increased as significantly as, for example, meat and meat by-products, but in absolute terms, trade in this species is much larger and has a more differentiated country structure. Buyers of Russian seafood are located in Central and Western Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic States, but the largest consumers are the Republic of Korea and China.
